About Us: Major Activities-
Government Affairs

The Nebraska Corn Board is authorized to use up to 25% of its budget to influence federal legislation affecting Nebraska corn producers. At no time during its history has the Nebraska Corn Board ever invested that amount, but the resources devoted to representing the interests of Nebraska corn in Washington, D.C. have had a positive impact for producers nonetheless.

Every time Congress constructs a Farm Bill or Energy Bill involving ethanol, your checkoff funds make sure your voice is heard. Nebraska Corn Board members and other corn industry representatives provide testimony, work with the Nebraska delegation and are in constant communication with decision makers.

The Nebraska Corn Board is prohibited from lobbying at the state level, and supporting or opposing political candidates.
