The Nebraska Corn Board is authorized to use up to 25%
of its budget to influence federal legislation affecting
Nebraska corn producers. At no time during its history
has the Nebraska Corn Board ever invested that amount,
but the resources devoted to representing the interests
of Nebraska corn in Washington, D.C. have had a positive
impact for producers nonetheless.
Every time Congress constructs a Farm Bill or Energy Bill involving ethanol, your checkoff
funds make sure your voice is heard. Nebraska Corn Board
members and other corn industry representatives provide
testimony, work with the Nebraska delegation and are
in constant communication with decision makers.
The Nebraska Corn Board is prohibited from lobbying at
the state level, and supporting or opposing political candidates. |
