"I believe strongly in the purpose of our checkoff dollars. With our pooled resources, we can change our future in so many ways that individually would be difficult, if not impossible. Together we can open new markets, direct new research, and search for new uses... "

Click Here, for additional crop information from UNL-Crop Watch, University of Nebraska The Nebraska Corn Board has put together this section of the
website to keep you informed on the growth and change of Nebraska
corn from planting season to harvest time. We will include pictures
from across the state showing the corn from each of our eight
districts on a regular basis.
Nebraska is the largest irrigated corn producing state in the
country. Nebraska farmers regularly produce over one billion
bushels (23.5 MMT) of high quality corn. This corn is used to
feed humans and livestock around the world as well as make ethanol,
sweeteners, starches and a variety of other high-tech products.
As an added feature for this year's coverage of Nebraska's
corn, eight FFA Chapters will provide photos of corn throughout
the growing season. This gives us the opportunity to show the
progress of Nebraska's corn statewide. The districts, the Nebraska
Corn Board representatives and the FFA Chapters are:
- District 1 (David Nielsen): Norris FFA Chapter
- District 2 (Mark Jagels): Blue Hill FFA Chapter
- District 3 (Curt Freisen): Heartland FFA Chapter
- District 4 (Bob Dickey): Howells FFA Chapter
- District 5 (Tim Scheer): Loup City FFA Chapter
- District 6 (Dennis Gengenbach): Holdrege FFA Chapter
- District 7 (David Merrell): Fullerton FFA Chapter
- District 8 (Jon Holzfaster): Chase County FFA Chapter
