Education
An important focus of the Nebraska Corn Board involves education – but these efforts go beyond teachers and students.
Instead, initiatives like our Sustaining Innovation campaign reach out to all Nebraskans and help tell the story of farming today – explaining why farmers do what they do, how farming has changed over time and why this is a good thing.
Other efforts focus on providing some facts and perspective to counter myths and misinformation that sometimes circulate about corn production, farming and corn-based ethanol. Another way the Nebraska Corn Board and a growing number of farmers are reaching out is through social media. New communication tools make it easier than ever for farmers to tell their story – and for others to ask questions. From blog posts, to Facebook pages to Twitter, Nebraska farmers are there.
