Education & Youth

An important component of the Nebraska Corn Board’s mission involves education and outreach. Nebraska is the third largest corn producer in the United States – it’s the Cornhusker State, after all – and corn became ingrained in our culture beginning with the first settlers to reach the New World. Today, you can find corn in everything from aspirin to shaving cream, from latex paint to disposable diapers, from animal feed to carpet on the floor to the renewable fuel ethanol. Corn has thousands of uses!

All of this makes it a good idea to learn a bit about this renewable resource we all utilize every day, and several of the menu options above are a great place to start.

We’ve also put together some additional pages geared specifically towards Students and Teachers, with links to more information about corn and agriculture in general. For that information, click here.
